The performance gap between what your data shows is possible and what your driver can execute — that is where Christian works.

Forty-seven years in motorsport. From a workshop in Grenoble to Formula 1 paddocks, Le Mans, and the highest levels of international competition.

Boudon-Competition methodology and the Challenge formula

A career that began in 1979

Christian Boudon founded BDN Moteur in 1979 in Grenoble, France — a workshop dedicated to racing engine engineering, kart preparation, and driver coaching. The work focused on what would become the foundation of his entire career: engineering-grade preparation paired with structured driver development.

In 1985, he co-founded New Racing Concept in Brignoles, France, with Jean Montagny — father of future Formula 1 driver Franck Montagny. The venture revived a historic karting circuit that had hosted the first international 24-hour kart race, and over fifteen years it became one of Europe's most respected karting and driver development operations. The track was sold in 2000.

In 2001, Christian relocated to Florida and established CCB Group as the U.S. extension of his European career — bringing the same factory-level standards to the American motorsport market.

Research and methodology

Christian's coaching framework is informed by decades of research in collaboration with the French government's Institut Biomedical des Sports de Vitesse (IBSV), alongside Air Force pilots and elite athletes. That research produced measurable benchmarks — lateral G-forces, apnea durations, heart rate profiles — that define what the human body actually experiences in a racing kart, and what training protocols produce elite performance under those conditions.

Over four decades, the methodology developed from this foundation has produced Formula 1 drivers, Le Mans winners, world karting champions, and IndyCar race winners.

Philosophy

The foundation of everything Christian does is evidence. Emotion is removed from feedback. Every coaching note, every setup recommendation, every debrief comment is corroborated by data — sensors, acquisition systems, and mathematically calculated deltas. The truth in racing is dictated by physics, and physics cannot be negotiated.

“The quality and the speed of interaction between the driver, the team, and the engineer is essential in order to win races.”

— Christian Boudon

Today

Christian operates from Palm Beach, Florida, working with karting programs, formula car teams, and individual drivers pursuing professional careers across IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, and international series. Engagements span coaching, race-weekend support, data acquisition consulting, and engine engineering through the revived BDN Moteur service line.
